We use appliqués in places that are not suitable for direct machine embroidery. The reason can be that in these places two materials are sewn together (e.g. a pocket, lining, filling of a winter coat…) or it is the case of large coloured surfaces that increase the price considerably. We use various textile materials as base materials with a wide range of colours. Embroidery (label) created this way is finally attached along its perimeter. The characteristics of the product are the same as in the case of embroidery.
Appliqués may be equipped with a Velcro fastener on the back – e.g. in the case of military uniforms.
Note: Sports clubs, leisure-time associations, public organizations and many others use appliqués not only as identification, but also as marketing products.
In the household, appliqués with children’s patterns are used to patch clothes.
